edcom meetings

October meetings, October 2017

edcom celebrated its tenth anniversary in October 2017! We would like to thank all our members for the great work and support shown during the past years and we are look forward to next ones.

Members that attended the meetings in Brussels enjoyed a city tour and a celebratory lunch in the heart of the city.

In addition, EACA's Evolution Lab Conference, discussing the changes AI will bring into the world of advertising, and the prestigious Euro Effie Awards Gala completed the two day events for our members.

Online meeting, February 2018

The online meeting presented an opportunity for members to receive an update on the projects and initiatives organised by edcom. Members could interact with the team through a live Q&A format and were able to download a recorded version afterwards.

May meetings, May 2018

During the May meetings, edcom members enjoyed the presence of Barry Ferguson, Strategic Planning Director at Carat UK, who delivered a keynote speech on unpacking the practicalities of successful communication planning in agencies. During the AGM, members approved a series of changes to the statutes before heading to the traditional networking dinner, where members said goodbye and expressed their thanks to Dominic Lyle, Director of EACA, who helped found edcom in 2007, and who has retired from his position at EACA. The Ad Venture Student Competition Final took place the next day, followed by a series of best practice sharing on various topics such as students, academics, university exchanges and curricula changes. The edcom meetings proved to be a great success.
